Defect

Braun Corporation (Braun) is recalling certain 2026 Ram ProMaster vehicles equipped with Q'Straint's One-Combo Belt, with part number TX11258-BA. The wheelchair seat belts may have incompatible connectors and fail to properly restrain occupants.

Risk / consequence

Improperly restrained occupants have an increased risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the seat belt, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 22, 2026. Owners may contact Braun's customer service at 1-800-488-0359.

   5/18/2026 - Notified by dealer that seat belt system didn't seem to properly connect.

2. May 18, 2026

   5/18/2026 - Stopped shipment while investigating out of an abundance of caution.

3. May 19, 2026

   5/19/2026 - Investigation began

4. May 27, 2026

   5/27/2026 - Determined that incorrect belts were included in BOM

5. May 28, 2026

   5/28/2026 - Determined all shipped units that are impacted.

6. Jun 2, 2026

   6/2/2026 - Filed form 573 with NHTSA.
