Defect

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2026 Riverstone, Cedar Creek, and 2024 R-Pod recreational trailers equipped with Curt Touring Coil Suspensions. The shock bolts may have been incorrectly tightened.

Risk / consequence

Broken shock retainer bolt heads and washers may detach and become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the shock bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 1, 2026. Owners may contact Cedar Creek customer service at 1-260-593-4000, R-Pod customer service at 1-574-642-3119, and Riverstone customer service at 1-260-593-4028. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-062.

    On May 11, 2026, OCC began researching if the components had been used in manufacturing.

    On May 20, 2026, OCC received a notice of recall pertaining to this concern from LCI.

  4. May 26, 2026

    On May 26, 2026, OCC finished identifying affected vehicles with the Curt Touring Coil Suspension.
