Braun Corporation (Braun) is recalling certain 2026 Ram ProMaster vehicles. The rear bench may have only two of four seat legs installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."

Risk / consequence

An incomplete seat may not properly restrain an occupant, increasing risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will install two additional seat legs, free of charge. Owners may contact Braun customer service at 1-800-488-0359.

Chronology of events

1. Apr 28, 2026

   4/28/2026 - An experienced BraunAbility employee identified a concern when a Promaster vehicle preparing to ship. Employee observed that only two legs installed on the rear bench seat, instead of required four.

2. Apr 29, 2026

   4/29/2026 - BraunAbility promptly initiated an internal review and identified all units that may have been produced with this condition.

3. Apr 29, 2026

   4/29/2026 - BraunAbility notified affected dealers and instructed not to deliver any potentially impacted units to customers.

4. May 1, 2026

   5/1/2026 - BraunAbility submitted a voluntary safety recall report to NHTSA for the affected population of vehicles.
