Defect

Aston Martin The Americas (Aston Martin) is recalling certain 2025-2026 DBX and 2026 DBX S vehicles. The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) light may not illuminate as intended, failing to warn drivers that one or more tires may be underinflated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems."

Risk / consequence

Underinflated tires increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Aston Martin will update the TPMS software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 28, 2026. Owners may contact Aston Martin customer service at 1-888-923-9988. Chronology of events

  1. Jan 21, 2026

    1. 21st January 2026 – A failure was detected during conformance of production audit on V12860 at HORIBA MIRA during ECE Regulation 141 Tire Pressure Monitoring System Test. This started an investigation. 2. The Company’s Technical Review Group (TRG) met regularly throughout the investigation. 3. The investigation showed that released coding tables for TPMS had not been correctly applied to DBX vehicles due to the reset process. 4. The Company’s Critical Concerns Review Group (CCRG) met on 24th February 2026 to assess the nature and scope of potential concerns. 5. The CCRG reviewed the technical data and recommended the matter should be reviewed by the Recall Committee. 6. The Recall Committee convened on 13th March 2026 and determined that: a) a potential Non-compliance could occur in the relevant vehicle population; b) a voluntary safety recall of all affected vehicles be implemented.
