Defect
Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2025-2026 GT1, GH1, and 2026 GH2 motorhomes. The Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) label states an incorrect number of seat belt equipped seating positions, which can result in unbelted passengers. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, “Tire Selection and Rims.”
Risk / consequence
Unbelted passengers may not be properly restrained in a crash, increasing their risk of injury.
Remedy
Tiffin will mail corrected labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 2, 2026. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is TIF-147. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning May 15, 2026.
Chronology of events

03/09/2026, the owner of a 2026 GH1 contacted the Tiffin Motorhomes service department by email stating that the OCCC label on his recently purchased GH1 stated "Safety belt equipped seating capacity: 4" when there were only 2 seatbelts in the van. Service notified compliance of the complaint.

03/10/2026 Verified the VIN was built with an "Adventure Bench" option and only had 2 seatbelts. An investigation began. Requested a copy of the owner's OCCC label. Checked the units parked at Tiffin waiting to ship. The GH2 & GT vans were correct, but the 19 SAV GH1 was incorrect, the OCCC label stated 4. A shipping hold was issued on all vans. 03/11/2026 verified with IT that the original 2023 GH1 all had a total of 4 seatbelts and that when the additional options of the Adventure Bench (ABEN) or Adventure Workstation (ABWS) began to be offered, the seating capacity database was not adjusted.
