Carbon Monoxide May Enter the Passenger Cabin

Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) is recalling certain 2023-2025 PL700 and 2024-2026 PL750 recreational trailers. The generator exhaust is vented directly under the slide out bedroom, allowing carbon monoxide to enter the cabin.

Risk / consequence

Exhaust fumes inside the cabin increase the risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Remedy

Dealers will reroute the exhaust and install an additional carbon monoxide detector, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2026. Owners may call ATC customer service at 1-877-441-2440.

Chronology of events

1. October of 2026

   October of 2026 received a complaint of exhaust fumes in bedroom. 2 other verbal complaints were made after that of smelling exhaust fumes in the bedroom. On 10/16/2025 an engineering ticket was submitted to the engineering department to investigate the issue. March of 2026 engineering communicated the testing results showed that there was an unacceptable amount of carbon monoxide entering the bedroom through the slide out under the right conditions. March 5th the decision was made that this needed to be recall for this issue.
