Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2026 Solitude recreational vehicles equipped with a ThermaHeat Tank Pad. The water tank heating pad may experience high resistance and fail.

Risk / consequence

A heating pad failure can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect the heating pads and replace as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 4, 2026. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is 910055/M910056.

1. Dec 22, 2026

   12/22/2026 - Grand Design is notified by Winnebago Motorhomes about a concern relating to tank heating pads on their product line. Grand Design opens an investigation.

2. Jan 8, 2026

   1/8/2026 - Grand Design determines that Dave Carter supplied ThermaHeat heating pads when the part normally sourced was unavailable.

3. Jan 12, 2026

   1/12/2026 - Grand Design is notified Newmar and Winnebago Motorhomes have voted to recall.

4. Jan 22, 2026

   1/22/2026 - Grand Design confirms dates and quantities of heating pad in question supplied.

5. Jan 30, 2026

   1/30/2026 - Grand Design votes to recall.
