Defect
ARBOC Specialty Vehicles, LLC (ARBOC) is recalling certain 2025 Spirit of Freedom transit buses. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
Risk / consequence
An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 6, 2026. Owners may contact ARBOC customer service at 1-866-953-5555.
Chronology of events
QStraint issued a recall 25E063 on the retractor. We tracked and verified all units with involved parts. There were no warranty claims or field reports made. No injuries or deaths were reported. All vehicles are new and would be covered under warranty.
