Defect
Brinkley RV (Brinkley) is recalling certain 2025 Model Z trailers. The electrical wiring may not be secured properly, which can result in damaged wiring and a short circuit.
Risk / consequence
A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will secure the electrical wires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 14, 2025. Owners may contact Brinkley customer service at 1-574-501-4280. Brinkley's number for this recall is REC-2503.
Chronology of events
- May 23, 2025
On May 23, 2025, Brinkley RV received a unit for service repairs. During the repair process, it was determined that an unsecured wire was pinched between a holding tank and an underlying support member. Upon review of this information, Brinkley RV launched an investigation to determine possible risk.
- Jul 24, 2025
On July 24, 2025, Brinkley RV Safety Committee was presented the results of the investigation and voted unanimously to recall the affected units.
