Defect

Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Lineage recreational trailers, equipped with Lippert Modularia entrance doors. The door latch mechanism may fail.

Risk / consequence

Door latch failure may prevent occupants from exiting the vehicle in an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy

Dealers will install a new retainer clip and install a secondary retainer to the tension rod, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 12, 2025. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is M910051.

Chronology of events

1. May 14, 2025

   5/14/2025 Grand Design reported to Lippert Components that 3 doors on the production line had door handles that would not open. During a review of our warranty data Grand Design also found one report from a dealership of the same concern. 79/2025 Lippert Components notifies Grand Design that their investigation has concluded and identified to Grand Design which doors were purchased with the identified defect.

2. Jul 10, 2025

   7/10/2025 Grand Design's Product Safety Committee votes to recall the affected population of doors.
