Removable Steps May Detach While In Use

Alliance RV, LLC (Alliance) is recalling certain 2025 Benchmark 42LFT travel trailers, equipped with a removable step assembly. The clip-on bracket mounting bolts may come loose, allowing the steps to detach.

Risk / consequence

Steps that detach while in use increase the risk of injury.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the clip-on bracket as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 2, 2025. Owners may contact Alliance customer service at 1-574-218-7165.

Chronology of events

1. Apr 16, 2025

   On 4/16/2025 I received a recall notice from Morryde related to these step brackets. Some clarifying question on their information was sent back the next day (part number discrepancies and lack of granularity) to which they answered. All product produced with this bracket was put on hold and anything that wasn't already shipped was fixed (4/17 - 4/18 - 4/21). A scope was able to be developed which was submitted and recalled.
