Defect
Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River Bus) is recalling certain 2024 Starcraft Allstar Transit buses. The handle for the emergency exit window may not be visible to someone standing in the aisle, which can delay passengers from exiting in the event of an emergency.
Risk / consequence
A delay in exiting the vehicle during an emergency increases the risk of injury.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the bottom handle windows with side handle windows, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River Bus customer service at 800-348-7440. Forest River Bus's number for this recall is 05-1896.

- Feb 13, 2025
On February 13, 2025, Forest River's Office of Corporate Compliance ("OCC") was notified by the manufacturing plant that they received a notice from a state inspector, which indicated that a transit bus had egress handles were not visible from the aisle. OCC opened a research item into the concern.

On February 14, 2025, OCC and the plant began to identify the involved vehicles.

On February 21, 2025, Forest Rivers Corporate Safety Committee voted to recall.
