Defect
Foretravel, Inc. (Foretravel) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Realm, Realm Presidential, and FS450 motorhomes. The vehicle control module (ICM) may have a software error, which can cause a loss of drive power or disable other safety systems, such as the headlights or windshield wipers.
Risk / consequence
The loss of drive power, headlights, or windshield wipers can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will reprogram the vehicle control module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 3, 2023. Owners may contact Foretravel customer service at 1-800-955-6226.
Chronology of events
Spartan RV Chassis provided information based on their findings and the number of chassis sold to Foretravel that was equipped with the Vehicle Control Module (ICM) supplied by Ametek.
