CarsApp just went through a major redesign. The goal was simple. Make it faster and easier for people to find safety information about their vehicles.
In the past, safety data was scattered. Recalls lived in one place, investigations in another, and complaints somewhere else entirely. Our new site brings all three together in a single, dynamic lookup experience.
Now you can search Recalls, Investigations, and Complaints from the same place. You no longer need to know which government database has the answer. CarsApp does that work for you.
We built two ways to search. A quick search sits right on the homepage for fast, everyday lookups. Just type a make, model, or keyword and go.
For more detailed research, we added an advanced search. It lets you filter by manufacturer, make, model, and model year. This is useful when you are comparing several vehicles or tracking a specific issue over time.
Search results are shown as clean, scannable lists. Each entry gives you the key facts at a glance, so you can quickly tell which results matter to you. On the list view, you will typically see:
- The manufacturer or make
- The type of issue (recall, investigation, or complaint)
- A short description of the problem
- The date it was reported
From there, one click takes you to a full detail page. Detail pages pull together everything we have on that recall, investigation, or complaint. You get the complete picture without hunting across multiple sites.
Speed was a top priority throughout the redesign. Pages load quickly, and search results appear almost instantly. We wanted the experience to feel effortless, not like work.
Ease of use mattered just as much as speed. The new design cuts down on clutter and extra steps. Everything you need is a search away.
Our core belief has not changed. Safety information should be simple to find and easy to understand. This redesign is a big step toward that goal.
